  I have been dealing with them since 2009. Every time I need to contact them or have them fax something or help me with my home insurance there is absolutely no follow through. Nobody returns emails or phone calls. I would suggest looking for a different company. Miller and Miller in Thornwood, NY is not a professional company and the workers are incompetent. The only reason it gets ONE star is because I could not publish this comment unless I selected one.

• Review of "EF Academy" at Thornwood

  I'm in the middle of my second year studying at EF Academy and the years have been some of the best ones in my life. I have gotten to know such amazing, intelligent and kind people from all over the world, as well as learning to integrate into different cultures.However, there is a lot of improvement needed at this institution. The communication between the student body and staff is not the best and it is easy to get the feeling that a lot of staff members don't understand, or care about, the challenges we face by studying abroad at such a young age. The relationship between academics and athletics have been poor this year, as academic teachers want you to only focus on their subject instead of enjoying your time doing things you love outside of school. On the other hand, the athletics department is exceptional and contribute with a lot to the school community. They help people with talent get recruited for clubs and colleges and have honestly been the best part of my experience here. Things such as not being able to see our grades until 3 months into our senior year, having weekday curfews on holidays and teachers leaving out of the blue two weeks before finals is ridiculous. One of the highest ranked academic individuals told us not to leave negative reviews; rather speak to them. I disagree with this statement to a certain extent as it is important that prospective students know about the imperfections of EF Academy. To summarise it all; my overall experience has been good, but has also had the potential to be much better.

  Think carefully before listing your home for sale with Jeanne Beckley of Better Homes and Gardens/Rand Realty in Thornwood, NY. Months ago, I called her about a property she'd listed. No call back for days! I texted a few days later, and received an apologetic text in return...that's all... still no answers to my questions. I went to an Open House at the property. The listing agent herself was not present. My questions still unanswered. A few weeks pass, I message questions to Ms. Beckley one more time. Two days later the reply: "I will find out and let you know." Five days later, still no answers!! Were I the seller, I would fire this realtor! The property looked pretty good at the open house, but is not selling after months? The sellers lowered the priced several times! Whom would you blame?
